What is it?

Keratin Brow Lamination is a chemical process that in basic terms, softens the hair and allows you to brush into whichever shape you desire, and it will stay. There is a thin glaze I apply as the last step of treatment which will keep the hairs in place in the shape I have created. Your brow hairs will become brushable after the glaze is removed and will require a quick brush in the morning and evening to keep the hairs lying in the direction you want. Applying aftercare diligently and according to directions is IMPERATIVE in maintaining the health of the hair. The aftercare serum I will provide you helps to rebuild the disulfide bonds which were broken down during the initial phase of the lamination process.

Who is a good candidate?

Those with existing brow hair

Who is not a good candidate?

If you are breastfeeding, if you have been using brow growth serums, if you have ultra sensitive skin, alopecia, psoriasis, or a sunburn, PMU on the brows within 3-4 months, if you have pink-eye, or are taking certain blood thinners, and if you have ever had a negative reaction to a hair perm or dye.

Explaining the Treatment:

Lamination is a chemical process in which the disulfide bonds within the hair are restructured and are locked into the final shape using a Keratin Glaze, which rebuilds those disulfide bonds to maintain the integrity of the hairs. And the one I use contains the same important ingredients as Olaplex, which is great for the hair on your head. The final result is a full and fluffy brow that maintains it’s beautiful shape for up to 2 months

How long does it take? To map, shape, and laminate, about 45 minutes. Add an additional 15 minutes if you’d also like to vamp things up with some tint, which comes out very natural looking and blends everything flawlessly.

Cali Girl PMU uses only the highest quality, gentle formulas with a low incidence of adverse skin reactions, however due to the nature of the treatment, a patch test on the inside of the arm is highly recommended at least 24 hours prior to treatment, especially if you have no prior experience with receiving a perm or hair color treatment. There is no cost for the patch test, as it is a part of our recommended safety protocol. It can be scheduled when it works for you, and then schedule the treatment once you know your skin will be tolerant of it.

To book your patch test, send text or WhatsApp to 310-867-4885
WHILE IT IS ALWAYS OUR RECOMMENDATION TO PERFORM A PATCH TEST, YOU MAY CHOOSE TO WAIVE IT BY COMPLETING AND SIGNING THE FORM BELOW.
