QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Scar and Stretch Mark Camouflage works directly on stretch marks and scars to smooth and conceal their appearance. Our technique delivers amazing results with the use of a special digital device along with selected serums and pigments to match the client's skin tone. This treatment can be performed on all skin tones, however extra caution and care must be taken with darker skin tones, as they are naturally prone to issues related to hyperpigmentation. 30% - 60% improvement can be observed with just ONE SESSION, however we recommend from 2 to 4 treatments for optimal results.

HOW DEEP INTO THE SKIN IS THE PIGMENT PLACED?

The dermis is the part of the skin where pigment is introduced during the pigmentation process. If the pigment is inserted too deeply into the dermis, the pigment will certainly expand over time, However, if the pigment intake is too shallow, it will fade too quickly. In this case, there is still the possibility of correction and will be done by repeating the procedure multiple times, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. The depth of input is absolutely crucial for the stability and longevity of the pigments.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE HEALING PHASE?

Immediately after treatment, the area will have some swelling and redness. The treated area may also have intense color, which will fade in the final step. You will notice a lighter tone of the introduced pigment, which will be partially modified and stabilized all the way up to a maximum of 8 weeks.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU TAN THE TREATED AREA?

Scars and Stretch Marks are tissue that has lost collagen. When they are healed, they turn white, so the contrast between your normal skin and stretch marks is seen. Once we camouflage the marks, the pigments blend with your skin tone. When you tan your skin, the camouflaged area remains the same, but because it has been camouflaged, the contrast is less obvious. In comparison, with white stretch marks, the camouflage is still a lot less obvious to the change in color.
